Leave It Alone

  • PRO's
    • Don't need to do anything at all.
    • Mailing lists are working fine.
    • Wiki is solving web site needs.
    • IRC isn't used enough to make it an issue.
  • CON's
    • Anyone can edit the Wiki and put any information there themselves (Vandals).
    • Wiki is OK, but not really designed for static information
    • Information is outdated or incorrect.
    • Taclug Library system is not working.
    • Taclug is not in charge of a Taclug domain.

Revamp It

  • PRO's
    • Web site looks better, and is better fit for most information that needs to be made public
    • Bob is willing to train people to program with PHP and PostgreSQL to create database driven applications.
  • CON's
    • It's work.
    • It will take some dedication.
    • When it's done it will look far superior to anything we had before.
    • Taclug will be in control of all of its resources.
