I could talk about Mepis 6.5 which is based on Kubuntu. Mepis 6.0 was based on Dapper. Mepis 6.5 was also based on Dapper because the Edgy kernel was considered unstable. The upcoming Mepis 7.0 will be based on Feisty- Joel
